Deze MR33-koffer is speciaal ontwikkeld voor de nieuwste (zeer compacte) SKYRC TWneo-bandenverwarmer (SK-600157). Het basisstation van de nieuwe TWneo-verwarmingsmatten is erg compact en voor sommigen misschien zelfs iets te klein, waardoor het niet altijd blijft staan zoals je wilt!
Met de MR33-koffer zit het station perfect op zijn plek en kun je je auto (1:10 onroad) er bovenop zetten. Het platform van de autostandaard is zelfs draaibaar!
Ook kan een externe accu direct in de koffer worden bevestigd, zodat je de verwarmingsdekens ook zonder directe stroomvoorziening mee kunt nemen naar het circuit (of naar de technische keuring). De opening voor de accu is 47 mm breed en 36 mm hoog. Er passen 2S-accu's en kleinere 3S-accu's in!
Bij de levering zit ook een gelijkstroomkabel om een externe stroomvoorziening op de bandenverwarmer aan te sluiten – een accessoire dat niet bij het originele apparaat van SKYRC wordt meegeleverd.

LiPo staat voor lithium-polymeer en wordt gezien als de accu van de toekomst, die een langere gebruiksduur en meer vermogen biedt. Ook het hoge aantal mogelijke laadcycli spreekt in zijn voordeel. Het opladen van LiPo-accu's
Als je een LiPo-accu koopt, moet deze eerst worden opgeladen. Let er daarbij op dat de lader compatibel is met de LiPo-accu. Deze informatie vind je meestal op de lader, de verpakking of in de handleiding. Als je een geschikte lader hebt, moet je de juiste instellingen kennen om de accu op te laden.
Het is belangrijk om te begrijpen wat de gegevens op de accu betekenen: een LiPo-accu bestaat uit minimaal één cel, die meestal 3,7 volt heeft. De 'S'-waarde geeft het aantal cellen aan. Een 2S-accu heeft dus 7,4 volt (of 7,6 volt bij een High Volt-accu). De stroomsterkte in ampère geeft aan hoeveel stroom de accu kan leveren.
Wat is de C-waarde
De 'C'-waarde is een belangrijke factor bij het laden en ontladen. Deze geeft aan hoe hoog de stroom is die gedurende korte tijd uit de accu kan worden gehaald. Hiervoor vermenigvuldig je de ampèrewaarde met de 'C'-waarde. Simpel gezegd: een accu met 6000 mAh en 50C kan tot 300 A aan de uitgang leveren. Men zegt: hoe hoger de C-waarde, hoe meer pit (punch) de accu biedt tijdens het rijden op het circuit!
Veiligheid – een belangrijk onderwerp
LiPo-accu's vereisen speciale veiligheidsmaatregelen. Veel mensen hebben al gehoord van exploderende accu's. Veelvoorkomende oorzaken hiervan zijn overladen of mechanische schade. Om het risico te minimaliseren, moet je altijd een LiPo-lader met de juiste instellingen gebruiken. Daarnaast is het aan te raden om de accu in een LiPo-Safe-tas op te laden en deze ook bij de juiste opslagspanning daarin te bewaren.
Hoe bewaar ik LiPo-accu's?
De juiste opslag van LiPo-accu's is cruciaal om hun levensduur te verlengen. Als ze langer dan twee weken leeg of volledig opgeladen worden bewaard, kan dit de prestaties en levensduur sterk beïnvloeden. Gebruik bij langdurig niet-gebruik (meer dan een week) een programmeerbare lader om de accu in de opslaglaadmodus op de opslagspanning te brengen. Als je zo'n apparaat niet hebt, laad de accu dan tot ongeveer de helft van de tijd die normaal gesproken nodig is voor een volledige lading.
